Pod 5 is Eight Sleep's connected bed system built around a Cover that fits over an existing mattress and manages temperature, sleep tracking and wake-up cues through the night. The Cover cools to 55°F or heats to 110°F, and each side of the bed is controlled independently, so partners with different preferences can each set their own side. Beyond temperature, Pod 5 tracks heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep phases and snoring every night, giving a picture of how the body responds during sleep without wearing a separate device. It can wake you with vibration or a thermal alarm instead of sound. An optional Base adds adjustable elevation for reading or relaxing and can raise the head when snoring is detected. Typical uses include couples who disagree about bed temperature, hot or cold sleepers, and anyone who wants nightly biometric feedback. Because the Cover goes over your current mattress, it works as an upgrade rather than a mattress replacement.
