Airthings Wave Plus is a battery-powered, app-enabled indoor air quality monitor that measures six factors: radon, carbon dioxide, airborne chemicals (VOCs), humidity, temperature, and air pressure. Waving a hand in front of the device triggers a color-coded light that gives an at-a-glance read of current air quality, while the free Airthings Wave app on iOS and Android shows detailed graphs and history. The monitor uses a passive diffusion chamber with alpha spectrometry for radon detection, an NDIR sensor for CO2, and a metal-oxide MEMS sensor for VOCs. It connects over Bluetooth LE, with optional SmartLink support when paired with an Airthings Hub for continuous remote access, and runs on two AA batteries with a stated battery life of up to 16 months over Bluetooth or up to 18 months with SmartLink. Wave Plus is suited to homeowners who want ongoing visibility into radon levels and everyday air quality in a bedroom, basement, or home office, and it can be combined with other Airthings monitors for multi-room tracking.

How do I set up the Wave Plus?
Remove the backplate, pull the battery tab to activate the batteries, reattach the backplate, then follow the Airthings Wave app instructions to register the device.
